«he said this did that» kind of style of narration, almost like children’s litterature (not in content, obviously). the narrator totally did not intrigue me at all, sorting under «being a writer because of need for being seen + loved». finding his outing of friends and other real people very problematic. suspect he is positioning himself as the best of PUAs just to sell more books. way too American blown up, pompous and shallow style for my liking. only read it because I had enocuntered men whom used the methods (and exact PU-lines) on me, and was in need of understanding my own situation. and this is the 1st and foremost problematic thing about the book: some men (and women?) seem to take it as a guide not as a warning - and that is because of the author’s choices and attitude. one great thing about the book though: Courtney Love makes a perfect character. She should have been given more space, instead of that ennoying narrator.
